Cylinder Head Warranty & Returns Policy

Welcome to New Cylinder Heads. We supply premium, workshop-grade replacement engine components engineered to match or exceed strict OEM specifications. Because cylinder head replacement is a highly precise technical engineering procedure, all warranty assessments, returns, and refund requests are strictly subject to the industry-standard mechanical guidelines outlined below.

12-Month Replacement Parts Warranty

All complete cylinder head assemblies, standalone castings, and individual valve components supplied by New Cylinder Heads are backed by a comprehensive 12-month replacement parts warranty commencing from the original invoice date. This warranty exclusively covers the replacement or repair of the defective component supplied. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, this warranty strictly excludes coverage for progressive engine block damage, vehicle towing, hire car expenses, loss of workshop income, or third-party mechanical workshop assembly labour costs.

Crucial Warranty Validation Rules

For a warranty replacement claim to be verified, evaluated, and approved by our technical team, the engine rebuild must follow proper automotive engineering practices. Failure to supply documentation proving the following steps were taken will immediately void all component warranties:

• Professional Installation: The component must be installed by a qualified automotive mechanic, licensed technician, or recognised engine reconditioner in strict accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's formal workshop manual.

• Fastener Compliance: Brand-new, single-use torque-to-yield (TTY) head bolts must be utilised where specified by the engine architecture and torqued down to the exact factory specification and angle sequence. Reusing old TTY stretch fasteners immediately voids all component warranties.

• Surface Inspection & Preparation: The engine block deck surface must be thoroughly cleaned, checked for flatness, and properly prepared to achieve the required surface finish (RA rating) specified for the selected multi-layer steel (MLS) or composite head gasket.

• Root Cause Rectification: The original cause of the vehicle's head failure (such as a blocked radiator core, faulty viscous fan clutch, failed thermostat, or over-fueling injectors) must be completely investigated, diagnosed, and repaired prior to installing the replacement head assembly. This warranty does not cover recurring thermal cracks, warping, or localised hot-spot damage caused by unrectified cooling system or fueling faults.

Return & Exchange Limitations

We accept returns and exchanges on uninstalled items within 30 days of delivery, subject to the following structural requirements to protect our inventory integrity:

• Unused & Unfitted Condition: Parts must be completely brand-new, unbolted, and show absolutely no signs of engine mock-up, tool marks, coolant exposure, or carbon contact.

• Sealed Fasteners & Gaskets: Head bolt kits or VRS gasket sets that have been removed from their sealed protective plastic sleeves, handled with greasy hands, or torqued down onto an engine block face cannot be returned for credit or exchange under any circumstances.

• Original Packaging: All items must be returned securely inside their original protective crates or packaging boxes to prevent transit damage to the precisely refaced head deck. Return shipping liabilities remain the responsibility of the buyer unless an incorrect part was dispatched by our team.
